Holy Father Francis announced a Year of St. Joseph on December 8, 2020, by signing the Apostolic Letter “Patris corde” (With a Father’s Heart), in honor of the 150^th anniversary of St. Joseph’s proclamation as patron of the Universal Church by Blessed Pius IX, on December 8, 1870.  

The year of St. Joseph began on December 9, 2020, and will conclude on December 8, 2021.
